WTB A/C Clutch Bearing?
Figures...soon as it finally got warm enough for A/C the clutch bearing starts crapping the bed. It's for an older 2001 Acura EL 1.7L, specs are 30mm ID X 52mm OD x 22mm W. Didn't think it would be that hard to source one locally...tried Motion Canada, Greggs, Partsource, NAPA, Bumper to Bumper, Partsking and even the Dealer - either don't have it or want to sell me the whole clutch and/or compressor assembly. They do have a couple units at Pick-n-Pull as a last resort but whether or not the part is still there...Any ideas where else to try? Thanks

Could try wakaw, but unfortunately a lot of those bearings made for a/c clutches are one of sizes. Acura or whichever manufacturer voices to a large bearing manufacturer and orders bearings that size for their specific need and they order on such a large quantity they can do it. Then the bearing manufacturer doesn’t make that bearing for joe public to go buy. Mostly happens with metric sizes of bearings or seals. See this lots in automotive, recreation industry.
Unfortunately you might be stuck buying the whole clutch. There did used to be rebuild kits for certain a/c clutches but I believe most have stopped that and are now selling whole compressors or clutch units.
If you try eBay u may get lucky and find your bearing but it’ll probably be poor quality and will buy in groups of 10 or more.

Go to a bearing shop not an auto parts dealer.

He did. He tried Motion Ind. I deal with Motion a few times a week.
ZKL bearings in Edmonton may help you...
Motion Ind bought BC Bearing a while back and they also swallowed up Bearing and Transmisison back in the day... not a lot of bearing houses like there used to be back in the day..

Try E Bay. Needed a part for my old GMC diesel, only made by one manufacturer and unavailable from the dealer, E bay had it.

google 'bearing supply canada'. There's a few places that have a lot of odd and unusual bearings, but are not chain supply stores.

I didn’t know motion was a bearing house. They refill our vending machines with gloves, and other shop supplies. Was unaware that they are a bearing supplier. Used to be one in the same parking lot as Princess auto but the west side. Doesn’t appear to be there anymore.

Santech A/C Clutch Bearing MT2027
10S13C compressor 30mm inner diameter x 52mm outer diameter x 22mm Thick
$47.49 USD. They don't ship to Canada though, so you'll have to find a US freight forwarder.
Or maybe Amazon or Ebay.

Stantech appears to be a common sub contractor for automotive manufacturers.

Hardly seems worth going Thru that work to replace that pulley bearing when new whole clutch assemblies are very reasonable price these days. Same amount of work or less since your not pressing out and in a bearing. You don’t need to worry about messing up a bearing or pressing it in untrue, it’s all done for you with the new clutch assembly.
Just my .02.
