Default 10/22 Magazine Lawsuit

Has this made it anywhere yet? I donated $100 to the cause and I feel like I could have spent it better elsewhere.

In the 10/22 there is something about the mags being able to be used for a pistol

It's all semantics. Stupid definitions that will do nothing to keep anyone safe and creat criminals out of the law abiding.

What's the latest? Am I a criminal when I use the 25 round magazine for my 10/22? I know stores pulled the magazines from the shelves.

If you own one, you are a criminal.

Well, there'd need a conviction for that to be true. Until then, you'd be innocent until proven otherwise.

Even still, it's a little early to say much on the issue. The RCMP asserts their interpretation on the matter. More importantly, we have an act of law that suggests to the contrary. Until there's a test case that actually comes before the courts, it's all an academic discussion. Meanwhile, I'd imagine nobody's jonesing to be the next Bruce and Donna Montague though.

It will probably take a year or more for it to make it's way through our legal system.

In that time I have a feeling the RCMP will also go after .50 Beowulf and LAR-15 magazines.

I heard about the second guy last week. Total bull****. Also the CBSA isn't letting new ones into the country. So only made in Canada mags will be available.
