Default Cutting Carbon arrows

I've always liked to do things myself so I'd like to know what you fellows use to cut carbon arrows to length. I have heard that a thin cutting wheel on a dremmel will do the trick.

Also, when measuring for length what is a good length to go with in front of the rest ?

The dremel tool will definitely do the job but if you're going to be doing lots, a proper cutoff saw isn't all that expensive.

And I think 1" is the standard.....

As much as you like doing things yourself, where you bought your arrows should cut them at no cost. If you decide to cut them yourself with a dremel. You might want to consider a tool offered by G5, this tool will make sure that the end of the arrow is cut square so the insert seats proper and tuning your broadheads is much easier. I haven't used this tool but I've checked it out online on there website.

I have plans to build a saw on my site www.peteward.com.
They use a sewing machine motor, just like the Apple cut off saw does.
A dremmel also works , and a ZIP disc on a bench grinder also works.

I use an angle grinder with zip disc for cutting steel. Works very well for me.
