Default 300A winter cow elk

We have the December-February cow elk tag for 300A. Planning on taking my dad and brother along for a hunt.

Planning on heading down sometime in December to do a bit of door knocking, but thought I would send out a hail to see if anyone can pm me some tips or access if they have elk issues in the winter. we usually do our cow hunts up in 312, but missed out this year.

The peanut gallery can kindly move along to another thread if they want to troll or hackle.

Thanks everyone,

Not familiar with the A side but with the amount of fog we've been having lately here in the south and if it works out the way it has in the past January should shape up to be an excellent month to have an elk tag in 300. Best of luck.

Across the road. Is it wellmans? But it looks like you'll have to work the neighborhood to get access. Hope for ugly North wind and terrible cold so they work North and are on the move. Bad weather is your elk hunting friend.

There's a Ramada and Super 8 in Pincher creek. Not sure what's open in Waterton in winter.

Vimy's restaurant is open year round and there is one hotel that is too, but the name slips my mind right now...

Does anyone have a copy of the landowner map for south of pincher creek By twin butte? Please pm me for email address.

We have our cow tag and have a few leads, but would sure like to get some names of folks to call for access. Thanks and Happy New Year!

I had heard the cows been out on A side but don't know names. Are you in the area?
A stop at the Twin Butte store may give you some contacts
