Default Cedar Plank Salmon

Was wondering if anyone had a real good rub for salmon. Thinking of grilling up some soon. Usually just use olive oil honey lemon and dill. Something else might be a good change.
Thanks for the info

in a zip lock bag combine olive oil, fresh garlic, fresh parsley, coarse salt, pepper, big pinch of cayenne pepper, tablespoon or two of brown sugar and a good glug of pure maple syrup...slide in the salmon and let marinate for at least 2 hours...longer is better......over night will give you an amazing "cured" salmon look and taste after you plank it.

My girlfriend sells herbs and spices and they make a Tyee Fish Rub I have had this on grilled salmon and it is great. I get to be a product tester for her sometimes and this stuff is good.

PM me for more info.

Sprinkle the salmon with salt and pepper and spoon on some extra garlic bruschetta over the whole fillet. EXCELLENT!! Bruschette is Classico brand available at Safeway--or make your own.
Another interesting flavor is to mix mayo or miracle whip with minced garlic and onion and lemon juice and rub on fillet with the back of a spoon.

My favorite way is marinate in soya sauce, maple suryp, garlic, ginger and a little lime juice. Baste with marinade once or twice while cooking. Always a crowd pleaser.
