Default Tanning, final wash

Question is at the bottom: I’ve got a couple beaver I’ve tanned up, probably the best close to commercial soft product I’ve ever had.
One set I used orange bottle, then luftan softening oil, thinned with wire wheel and-broke over a cable with some leather beaswax conditioner (one I used mink oil…creates a mess, doesn’t work in, useless)(experimenting)
Other set I did the full luftan pickle system, tanning oil, softening oil, broke the same method as above.
Everything has turned out beautifully, like I said, close to commercial soft (just not quite the fluffy loft). Aside from one bug old guy I didn’t quite get thin enough along the back/shoulders.
Question: some oil ended up on the fur side. I’d like to wash this out, at this point can I safely wash or will I have to re-break? Can I hand wash and tumble no heat in the dryer safely without shrinking up the pelts to useless?

Just use a wet cloth to remove the residue.
