Default 2019 Kayak Fishing Tournaments

For anyone who hasn't heard or doesn't use Facebook there is a kayak fishing tournament with 7 events across Alberta. The events are fun, family friendly and not expensive to attend. You can find the details on Facebook or for those that don't use it, here:

I went to the Cold Lake tournament last year, was a really good time. I wish there was a tournament that targeted walleye as well though!

Glad you had a good time! I was also at the tourney, I hooked plenty of fish but couldn't get anything to the boat because I forgot a net lol. I think the tournaments have to conform to the regulations, even if its a catch and release tournament, so we would have to find a lake where you could keep walleye to host an event.

Unfortunately the dates and locations are tentative until licenses from Fisheries are issued. As soon as everything is confirmed I will update the website so keep an eye on the page!

Hey,

Can you pull the date and location picture down from your site until we get all the CFEs in? I have been asked by fisheries to not have them posted.. thought I had them all but he sent me a picture of your post.. Once we get the licenses, we will post again on the Western Canada Kayak Trail page.

Thanks
