Exclamation Wading the NSR

Was wondering if any of you guys actually wade the north sask river when fly fishing never tried always though it was the sink in silt bottom type river

It depends per section. But most likely get ready to get muddy. I hike the shoreline a decent amount, and 10/10 I get relatively muddy. It's worth it though!

It's been years but I actually waded right at Whitemud Park. Was expecting mud but was pleasantly surprised at the rocky bottom in that stretch. Caught my first few Goldeye on the fly.

I have a few spots on the river I like to wade in to fish. If you can find a good seam of fast and slack water it can be really good fishing.

Waded where the 770 crosses before gennesee, stony river bed, just felt a bit lost on such a big river lol

Where you have good water flow it will generally be gravel or rocky. Back eddies and slow sections can have silt up to a couple feet thick, so be careful.
