Need advice from taxidermist.

I have some questions for a taxidermist if we have one on this forum. Last week we got a beautiful large lynx. it had a lot of black and wonderful contrast in the fur. We skinned it for auction but would like to know if there is a private market and if so what to watch for in the future. Also the light wolf we got Sunday, we haven't thawed it yet, it would make a great rug mount and it seems a shame to ship to the auction. Talked to someone at a fur auction house and they suggested a private sale for wolves in a lot of cases.
Any advice?
