Default Clear Lake- East of Stavely and Surrounding Area

Hello.

I am having some issues with finding out some info about this area.

Curious if anyone knows how I would find out if it is acceptable to hunt in the surrounding area or if the land is privately owned or what? I do all of my hunting in crown land/ provincial sites in the mountains.

Also curious for fishing purposes, what are the un-named lakes in the area like? Are they on private land?

Does anyone waterfowl in this area? honestly I'm going fishing there and I'm wanting to see I can pass shoot a Canada as I haven't gotten any this year.

Thanks

Default Clear Lake

Fishing might be okay but waterfowl is highly unlikely. Just be careful on the ice. Lots of birds on Travers but only 2 days left for hunting water fowl. Tomorrow is gonna be a good day😜

Thanks for your response Anthony.

I doubt I will bring the shotgun along because I'm having trouble confirming the legality of it. I can't seem to go anywhere this season without a flight of geese flying over me, so I'm sure with my luck they will.

Will not be driving on the ice and will do soundings etc. Just want to ice fish.

We live in the area. Pretty much all private farmland, nice folks mostly. Go knock on some doors, and get a landowner map downloaded from MD Willow Creek website.

Thank you Digger and Richard.

Next year I am going to have to go out south of the city for hunting if I want to waterfowl, living in the mountains and VI spoiled me, I have never had to ask someone for permission to hunt on their land before.
