Used quite a few different options, and water is usually the big issue. The skid loads just can't carry enough in the UTV. The most practical I've used for off road is the tandem axle quad trailer, with a home made wooden top and a mini Honda gas pump. Buy a few lengths of forestry hose, a couple pony lengths, a nozzle or two, and foam can be poured into the trailer itself. You could buy a foam system but the cost is limiting. The pump I'm speaking of weighs in around 15 lbs and you or your passenger can spray water why you drive along.
I suspect your looking for a rapid attack setup, if your on the prairies your looking at a dangerous venture, but I understand your wanting to protect what's yours. Grass and wildland fires move at a rate that is disturbing.
