You are on a roll, man! Surely nice sets of antlers you posted up until now, each and every one. I have been out once, so far, and nothing. Granted, there was about a foot of snow where I was hiking

Both of those last 2 are singles I am hopeful to find the match once the snow melts more. Still 8 inches deep on all but the south sides of hills.

I was out again yesterday. Found large populations of deer tracks and beds but struck out again. Forgot to bring card reader to check the cams but have 166 pictures in 2 weeks set 1 picture every 3 mins

I have yet to see a actualy shed buck yet either

Question for anyone reading..

What is the furthest away you have found a matching shed pair?

I have looked in atleast a 100 yard radius of both of those single sheds and come up empty.

p.s. I have yet to go into their bedding areas, just food spots and major game trails

A wise shed hunter once told me. "Find the beds and find the sheds." Id keep on the food for a bit yet. Still early so don't get inpatient and make them move. You'll get them.

Saw a couple shed WT bucks yesterday around the Calgary area, although I also saw three bucks still packing both sides.

The boy found this while out playing with his new metal detector on his birthday. Best birthday ever he says! Pictures dont do the curl justice. Check out the shadow on the 12" pizza box. A 2 liter milk jug fits inside his curl.

Dang.. That is a thick one! I wonder if it is from an older buck out of his prime and on his way back down to smaller yet still thick antlers.

Mounted my first ones on a Mountain Mikes Skull..

I think it looks pretty damn good for a plastic head. Good, easy way to show off shed antlers. The burrs are to big of the pedicles of this skull by quite a bit, but you dont notice from a distance.

Default Trailcam check

I checked my trailcams again last weekend, and also saw 6 whitetail bucks of different sizes on the hoof. All still packing, central Alberta.

Nice work dustyb's brother. Nice fresh matching sets like that don't happen every day unless maybe around a balestack or a feeder. I live in central alberta and found a huge bull moose side and looked for 4 days until I finally got the other side 4km away. They must have strong necks. A lot of weight to pack on one side that far. We guessed him conservatively at 55 inch with big fronts and wicked mass.

Was out yesterday in Edmonton area.
Moose are still packing.

Rabbits and squirrels appear to have shed already...
