Default gonna try bowtech specialist this year, initial data is in

broke it in, sent it to Jim Bows for a super tune as i hadn't had one before (would do it again)

mine specs at 37 5/8" ata
7 1/2" bh
4 lb 2oz naked

29" draw length
304 fps with 288.0 grain (my chrony, 11 shot average, same arrow)
69.9 lbs draw weight (my easton digital bow scale, 3 pulls)
79.6 ft/lbs ke

on the ibo calculator converter its doing a 327 fps equiv. ibo which is 3 fps under rated ibo but its also through a whisker bisquit which i chronied a 2 fps loss from drop away to bisquit on a mr7 i had....so its within 1 fps of ibo strength, pre-supertune i got about 325 fps equiv so gained about 2 fps with the tune up, cams looked a little out of time to me pre-tune

love how the bow feels/handles, amazing grip, feels like a hunting bow to me although spec's suggest otherwise, its the longest bow i've shot, curious to see how my long distance work is this summer, its got a bit of vibe at the shot and surely some of the usual de-vibe stabs etc. would take it out but it doesn't phase me in the least...this comparing it to previous bow the element rkt which was about as dead in had as you can get...that doesn't really affect accuracy and i don't shoot enough arrows a year to care, it does have a bit ruder draw cycle but has too...to pull that kind of speed with that kind of ata and bh...pretty amazing power for the spec imo...can't wait to stretch its legs, for ultra safe spec hunting bow not sure there is anything better on paper than the specialist, i know many think its target spec but it screams ultimate hunter to me, its got the spec where it screams safe/forgiving but at same time the spec hunters like, power cams, lightweight...its the ultimate hybrid and reports are they are very accurate

the supertune with my 6 arrows showed initial group of 3/4" ctc at 20 yards for 6 shots, then they spin nocks and tightened it up to 1/2" ctc at 20 yards for those 6 arrows through the hooter shooter...translation is at 80 yards my bow is capable of 3" groups with untuned arrows and 2" with tuned arrows...my verdict is i'll likely not be able to see a difference but will try the tuned vs untuned just to see for myself when i start shooting distance this summer...who says bisquits aren't accurate anyhow

no pics, a bow is a bow, found unsold stock on a black out one, limbs may flake in time, don't care, they are good so far in the over 300 shots i put on it before sending it in for the supertune, if i get time later will try and get some pics

i did have one pic on my phone so loaded it up, i had some gear slapped on for breakin, had it very briefly before the element rkt sold...so there is a 37 5/8" ata compared to a 31 1/2" ata...and what did my element weigh, it was around 3.7 to 3.8 lbs and this bow is 4.1 lbs...the cheap diamond fixed quiver i have on it is 5.5 oz...as a sheep hunter that made me smile, the tightspot was around 11.5 oz...so in the end i'm probably not going to be carrying any more weight with this bow as i saved it in the quiver...and this bow within a few fps real world of the little hoyt to boot

got a spot hogg it 7 pin and had Henry fab a little bracket up and drill/tap the bar so i can mount anchorsight directly to the sight bar for simplicity and moving from bow to bow will be that much quicker to set things up, as mentioned the diamond 2 piece 5 arrow quiver, plastic but light 5.5 oz and whisker bisquit sure shot pro i believe from recollection

arrows are speedpro 6.2's at 27.5", 50gr brass inserts, flex fletch sk300 vanes, nockturnals and 125 grain tips equals 389 grain average over 6 and 17% foc....i can jump to over 19% foc just by changing to easton microlite nocks and if went flash 2.0 vanes forsure would push over 20% foc and have speed to go with it...all that possible only with shaft that weighs 6.25gpi...pricy shafts though....get crazy foc, good weight without being too light, keep good speed, its all but some work on the glendel full ruts in the summer and hunt away from there

Default New bow

I think you will be happy with your choice. Just wondering what kind of stablizers are on your bows in the pictures? Thanks, Cheers Roscoe

b-stinger, the shorty on the hoyt is 8" with a 11 oz weight i cut down to around 6-7 oz...the longer one is i think 10" maybe 12" with the 11 oz i think....i've since put the lighter weight on the longer bar for the specialist as i'm not a fan of overly front heavy feel

better pictures, final set up

bow 4 lb 2 oz
bisquit sure shot pro (alum.) 3.0 oz
diamond 2 piece 5 arrow quiver 5.5 oz
stabilizer 8.5 oz
total weight 6 lb 4.5 oz as pictured with stab

so the sight/anchorsight/stab quick detach total for 17.5 oz by quick math as i didn't weigh them seperate

Great looking rig!

I like how you mounted your Anchor Sight.

I picked up a Destroyer 350 about a month or so ago....I love the all black bow and accessory look....great for ground blind hunting.

Where did you get your diamond 2 piece quiver and what was the cost?

I am looking for a new quiver for my bowmadness xs that is blacked out and wouldn't mind having a light weight 2 piece quiver.
