Everyone said it would never happen but if you don't go out and talk to the people yourself you don't know really what's the truth.
Next spring I plan on setting up a meeting and see what's required.
When the friend of mine talked to many people about his own restricted range everyone said impossible well I can tell you its possible.

SST,
That's great news! If more and more people did this, it would only get easier for the rest of us. I would do the same as we have the space(acres) to do it but I have too many neighbors and we are getting annexed into the city soon.
Once again, congrats to your neighbor and best of luck to you.

The RCMP Range Guidelines are on the NFA website. Here's the link:

If its not a bow zone and you can shoot deer legally with your riffle on your land you can shoot targets.
Might want to tell your nabours not to worry if they hear gun shots so they don't call the cops.

Did you read the OP's question?
Have you looked at the attached links from those who regulate such things?

Your advice is not the best given in this thread, perhaps you'd care to revise your advice.

The OP is looking to shoot restricted weapons. Are you aware that there are regulations stipulating where restricted weapons can be discharged?

Again just like the person before you. Reading between my lines .I am talking about a hunting riffle not a restricted weapon.
I was just saying if you can Legally shoot a deer on apiece of land you can legally shoot at a target. I was just saying this as others might be reading this and wanting to shoot at a target with their hunting riffle.

I wasn't reading between your lines, the OP specifically mentioned restricted weapons.

There is no law against shooting on your own property if you have the land to do it safely in a non-restricted area. If you are doing target practice on your property don't call it a personal range for obvious reasons!
