Default The Next James Bond

Long list of contenders for the roll. Everyone from Idris Elba to Joseph Gordon Leavitt.

Who do you think would make a good Bond?

Idris is a great actor, as is Gerard Butler and Tom Hardy. They are all too old though, or would be by the time Daniel Craig leaves the role, which will be after the next movie (2020) or possibly one more after that.

They will not cast someone totally different or a different gender. This role and character has been around since 1962 and even older if you count the books, it's a proven formula and people love it because it works and they know what to expect.

If Clive Owen was younger, he'd have my vote, as he did when Daniel Craig joined.
Otherwise Henry Cavill may be a good contender (Man from U.N.C.L.E.).

My vote, Mr Bean. Total different direction, English accent and playboy if ever there was one.

Tom Hardy would be an awesome Bond! I know the genre is kind of set in stone, but if they could darken up the plot not unlike Heath Ledger and the Dark Knight did for the Batman series, it would be wicked!

Also known as Robb Stark in GoT and did a nice turn as The Bodyguard, on Netflix.

Something tells me he would increase the female audience. He has my wife's vote. Good actor but too young and too short.

My vote is either Tom Hiddleston or Benedict Cumberbatch.

Not sure it really matters so much who they cast at this point. The franchise is dieing and needs more than a new actor to play 007. Not sure how or if they will be able to revitalize the series.
