I see the Habs lit up Hart for 3 goals in 9 shots. Pulled in the 1st and Elliot finished off the game. I wonder if Talbot is destined for the AHL??

I know I know off topic....

The Oilers should have a fire sale in the next 4 days with the only players safe being Koskinen, McDavid, Draisaitl, Nuge, Klefbom, and Nurse. Everyone else could and should be available for the right price.

And YES, I have given up on the season.
Correct me if I'm wrong but ,didn't you essentially just list the only pieces on your team worth trading, that would give you anything in return?
I get trading McDavid is a crazy thought but damn, that would speed up the rebuild with what you could get back.
Of course would need to military to come in and control the masses as they lost their minds.
Will be interesting to see what they do next few days to try and start over. Again

And Montreal has 24 Stanley Cups, but they haven't won any in this century either. It's sad that no Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup in this century.

Not to rain on our parade but I am fairly sure we are losing McDavid for at least 1 game for the hit on Leddy.

I agree. I suspect player safety has to look at it, and I suspect you are right. I don't think it was malicious, but definitely head was initial point of contact. If Leddy had stayed down a while, you could bank on at least a game, but since he got right back up....maybe McDavid gets a break. Maybe not.

I agree with this, was a head shot, intentional or not. Could have been on purposes as to get a break from loosing?? Just Kidding.

Here is the hit that caused Cogliano to be suspended which ended his iron man streak and I believe cost him the "Hockey Hall of Fame". Prior to this Cogliano had no suspension history.

Looks really similar to the McDavid hit.

Looks like he tried for the shoulder and missed. Now to see if they go easy or treat him like everyone else. Kinda funny how he gets abused regularly and no call but has a hearing for that hit. Didn't look like he had intent to injure but it was a head shot. Guessing a fine is coming.

There is no doubt that the hit was intentional, and no doubt that the contact was to the head, the only question is whether he gets special treatment as a superstar.

Of course the hit was intentional. Lol. The hit to the head wasn’t. They were pretty much facing each other. Dropped his head to shoot. It’s not like he was blindsided or even close.

McDavid made no attempt to avoid contact to the head, as a superstar should be able to.

Get's abused regularly? That's what happens too all teams best players, just ask Johnny and Elias Petterson and so on. Doesn't excuse a head shot, he should get a game at least, not just a fine, Although he does wear #97 so anything is possible. I'm thinking he is wishing for a 22 game suspension the way things are going there though.

The panel knew if they let it go that the hockey world would of cried that it was only because it was McDavid. So they leaned on the side of foul punishment to avoid it. Scared of being called out.

I think McDavid did it on purpose to get out of playing for the Oilers for atleast a game.

He 100% picked the head. He had other options. Todays NHL really frowns on that..

It's ok, he needs a some rest with the playoffs coming up.

Oh wait, never mind.

2 games and a $134000 fine.

I did check the 2018/19 suspensions and "Illegal Check to the Head" starts at 2 games. Karlsson got 2 games earlier this year with virtually the same circumstances and history.

I do feel bad for any kids that have tickets to Saturday's game against the Ducks.
