Default We asked 86 burglars how they broke into homes

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.ktvb...=277-344333696

This is actually a good read and help improve awareness of little things around the house .

I read that a while ago, Good stuff, Outdoor lights on and closed drapes is a draw for them. Over the years I have had a couple of suspicious people knock at the door asking for someone and they didn't know the address of the person they sought,

Kinda obvious though, isn't it? I'm not really too concerned about my leather couch set stainless kitchen appliances being ripped off.....

Good read. I like hidden cameras. I also have cameras inside the house, if we arent home I get instant notification of motion. Looking in toilets freezers and cereal boxes is an eye opener. Time to get creative.

I read something the other day about putting stickers on your truck windows too, they target the ones with lots of sporting good and outdoor company stickers all over.

Id like to be the homeowner who gets interviewed at the end

“They surveyed 86 criminals. They wanted to survey 100 but I killed 14 of them......”

One of these ring doorbell( or alternative brand like nest) it give you a text and photo of the people at the door auto detect and send via wifi cost about $160-$300, well worth the price and peace of mind .

Except a burglar would have to prove negligence, and if the dog is contained in your home, that isn't likely. And if you post beware of dog signs, and your dog barks, that is even more unlikely.

It’s obvious to you and I yet there still are a lot of vehicles around Edmonton with stickers like that.

My dogs bark if anyone approaches the house, apparently that deters most burglars. If they are stupid enough to break in, then they will get bit. Good luck trying to find a way to sneak by the dogs unnoticed.

Default home break in

Bury to dog poop or bury the body, both will work to solve the problem for you and your neighbours.

If you post a sign about Vicious Dog or a Watch Dog on your property, you have already admitted to a vicious dog or a watch dog. Better to find out for themselves. Secondly as long as the dog remains on YOUR property, he is free, but check with a lawyer. And I agree with you.

Obviously you don't post "vicious dog" on a sign, unless you actually don't have a dog at all.
