Bear in mind some places atvs on tracks can not be operated where sleds can.

Good deal on used Skandic 600 in Edmonton. Less than 300km.

Default Bearcat 5000XT

Yes, it's a beast and it's heavy but with that 1200 4 stroke motor, it has removable rear seat 20" track and 2.25 lugs. with just me and I am a big man, it does 120 km on a lake with 10" of snow. I pull two Otter sleds in tandem. It was engineered to climb and pull big loads. I put the extra wide skis on mine and it now floats in deep snow. as far as I am concerned you can't get a better workhorse sled. I have had a Yamaha VK540 (94) and an old ski-doo 399 nordic. The VK was always getting stuck in anything deeper than 18" of snow and the nordic, no pulling power. I pick up my bearcat (off Current, new) for $9400.00 all-in with the skis extra plugs and a travel trap, out of Bonneville.

We put tracks on my quad and we only ended up having them for 1 season. Like others have mentioned. You lose about 30% of your power, not to mention you just added 200+ pounds of weight. From my experience it was a bust. My top speed on packed show was around 35-40km and that was dame near full out. Way to much extra strain on the machine. This was 7 years ago so maybe they have come along way since then.

Tracks are the best thing I have added for the winter.
60-70KPH no problem.
Cab, heat, box and cup holders, can't put enough snow in front of it.
Sold my sled and don't miss it one bit!
Not the fastest but sure is nice.
Can't rotate the darn picture folks but you get the idea...
Can haul Marty's giant Kiyute too!!!
