Default Tired of the Fishfinder Batteries

So I was out fishing on Slave a couple weeks ago and both of my batteries died on me. I tried recharging them and they wouldn't get over 11 volts (my fault; between bouncing them across the ice in my sled, drawing them down to far and not putting them on the charger over the summer). They are both hooped. I had way to much time at work the last couple weeks and came up with a plan to put a real AGM battery into a box with a charger inside (I seem to lose these if they are not attached to the unit, I think they are with all the socks I have lost in the dryer over the years) and thought I would share.

I also found looking down at ice level at my Lowrance Ice Machine made my back sore. Solved that problem as well.

So here is my self contained unit with a 18Ahr AGM battery, smart charger and Ram mount.

All in about $250 and 3 hours of labor.

I like it. Someone is probably patenting that right now.
