Default Registered Trapline Owner Hunting Tag?????

As a registered trap line owner can Fish & Wildlife give a subsistence (Land Owner) tag similar to farmers?? Ie deer or moose. I heard this rumour, but maybe that is just what it is. Thanks for the help guys.

No. I believe the only extra tag allotted (and it wouldn't even really be a tag) would be for a problem animal such as a bear destroying stuff, or in an outside case, maybe a cougar.

However, trappers are allowed to hunt but not trap 6 black bears in each Fur management Area north of the Red Deer River during the open season for black bear. That is the only bonus I know of regarding hunting.

Trappers do not own the land they trap. They only hold the rights to trap it and that's all.
