Wmu 330
Going to start the season hunting WMU 330 (Whitetail). I know there are some Mulies in there but are the numbers worth going to buy a Mulie tag just in case (have never hunted Mulies before) and I don't foresee myself specifically hunting for Mulies

Mule deer are pretyy scarce in most of WMU 330. I have had 1/4 of land on the west side for 22 years and never saw a mule deer on it. If I insisted on tryin for them I would concentrate along the Sask. R. since mulies prefer a side hill more than white taileds.

Yup.... went to draw a couple of years ago...., never even seen a muley in 330 along the river as many times as I was in there, but wasnt hunting either, just working.
I agree, get towards the N. Sask river, great Muley country, not to mention , all other game. Good luck.

Thanks all, will stick to the Whitetails then. Must have overlooked the draw requirement for Mulies in 330, thanks bonedogrocky

Go to 339 for general mulies, won't have a problem filling a tag.

heres another one
These were taken from 250yards the day before opening, man the knees were knockin waiting for him to come within bow range, very tough spot to hunt only shrubs to hide in, no place for a stand and these guys wouldn't go near buddys ground blind, way to cautious, had a fork horn come into 10 yards, thought he was gonna walk right over me, between 19:00 and 20:00 seen 6 forks and a small 4x4, these guys arnt coming out till 10mins before sundown, big guy was thrashing a small poplar for over an hour when I was waiting for him to come closer DSC_0319.JPG

I hunt 330 a lot and see very few mule deer there. My wife has a bull moose tag for the late season, so if you find a young tender bull, young Eldon, give us a call.
