All the perch I have caught this year have been singles. Last year they were always in groups. Hmmm

16 inch perch? Come on man. Pretty sure you would of plastered it all over this forum if you did. I know I sure would have. 13.5 is huge for gull. They are nice heavy perch and I would really like to see an honest 16 incher. You threw back a new alberta record according to my calculations. Caught my share, put in my time out there. Not calling you a liar but the next 16 incher you catch out of gull lake alberta you might wanna get verified.

Went out on Sunday as well. First time on the ice this year. Stuck to the South side and drove around the edge - like on shore - and walked out. Skidoo is in the shop

Tried sight fishing too and the water is the same as the last 2 years - crappy visual.

First fish was this nice walleye (attached).

Just after I dropped down and the hook was hit on the way down. It was a huge white and it came back and inhaled it. Had it on for a bit and decided to play the big girl out than try to horse it in...fish one and got off.

Visuals got worse as it got brighter so switched to vex. Lots of follows on the screen to the hook and down sized to my perch rig. Next 20 fish were all perch and were 5-7 inches...woo... Nothing to get too excited about but the numbers were good. When that dried up I moved and used the under water cam for a bit...saw nothing until I saw a bigger perch but that was 2 p.m. and the wind was ridiculous. So, packed up like most others and headed off.

Not bad, its a start.

Snap ... Nice eye and Perch, too ... while others said it was slow ...

Gull sure has some monster Whites, I would of needed 10 lb floro for that one I seen that ignored me the other day .... just huge. I don't think it would of come up in 8" hole, that's why I use a 10" auger and drill 2 holes SxS.
