Just went through my inventory today. I pulled out two bricks of 210 match primers that had a $60 price tag on them. That would have been $20 more than standard 210’s. Gross.

Default Profit River

Isn't your price just a little high $35 compared to $16.

150 primers instead of 100 per package.

Many people miss that detail. Prophet River may not always have the lowest price, but they don't gouge the customer . I talked to Clay about the supply issues, a few years ago, and he said his business plan has changed a bit, he said he still likes to give everyone a good deal, but now he buys some product that costs a bit more to buy, just so he has product to sell.

150 count sleeve!

Equates to $23.33/100.

Pretty much the going price these days.

I’m actually shocked those 250’s are the price they are. Maybe things are settling down a bit.

I ordered mine 2-3 days ago, was waiting to see if I actually got a whole box (10 sleeves delivered to the store) or if they're gonna pull the ole' bait-n-switch with the "2 per customer limit" before announcing it here...

I guess I'll spill the beans about Cabelas Calgary having these in stock (CCI #250 LRM) too. But the gun counter* will likely limit customers to 2 sleeves.

* I tried calling, can't get through to the gun/ammo counter to confirm any limit. That's why I just ordered online.

To me, it would seem "the going price" is $16/100 from Cabelas.

YMMV

For CCI 250, match grade costs more, different brands vary as well. Prophet River is selling Fiocchi right now.

Yeah, it's not apples to apples exactly. I get it. But nobody wants to pay 43% ($7) more for basically the same thing, except in a brand they're likely already using (IE: CCI @ $16).

That all I was getting at...

Yes, and fortunately now I understand the difference between large rifle and large rifle magnum primers.

I tested the CCI 200,250 and Br2 primers in the same load, and found no significant difference in the point of impact. I'm guessing if I had tested Fiocchi there would have been no difference either.

That depends entirely on the rifle.

In your sample size of what, 1 combination, you found this out?

Come back when you’ve got a dozen different combinations to compare, I’ll put money on the fact your earlier statement does not hold true.

Sorry It's been a few years, I have no recollection. You will have to do your own tests.

I think that myself, EH11, and P76, have already lived through numerous tests, be it intentional, or by happenstance, to know on any given load with any given primer may or may not give outstanding results, with any given cartridge.

So much so that there’s seldom any specifics given for load data from any of us who’ve been building reloads for multiple rifles cartridges and combinations.

So, ****ing contests aside, thanks for the heads up. Ordered some for a buddy of mine that is running low.

$15/100 is a lot more than I paid even a few years ago, but seems like a very good price to me given what they went for the last couple of years. With pickup at store, no shipping, time to add to your stores or you are going to be whining come the next round of shortages.

In the free world they call that economics 101. Supply and demand. It’s actually a very good way for things to run.
