You know what they say "Misery loves company." Howdy Flames and Bruins fans, how's the view from down here?

Giving up a 2-0 lead in games
Giving up 3 goals with the goalie pulled...

Yeah.. It was a major choke.

However.... These kids will learn. Watch out next year....

A loss is a loss none better than the other.
But it was a good series to bad one team had to lose.

Really, you think the Flames fans are as satisfied and pleased as Oilers fan with their respective playoff performance? OK

Consider it payback. If you don't understand, go back and start on page one, and look at all the crap the Oilers faithful dumped on the Flames. Own it.

Rough 2nd period but didn't give up right up until the end. Next year and for many there after, we are going to have great hockey in Edmonton.
And Flames came from the cellar to make playoffs with a franchise record of a win streak, but it didn't stop the Oilers fans from crapping on them. I like the Oilers new Choke Record. Just saying. Karma. Thank God it's over.

The measuring tape was a special feature, use it in good health.

Handing out free Ferraris at a Driver's Ed course doesn't make a racing team.

If losing in the secound round makes you fell better so be it.
The goal is the Stanley Cup.
There's only one winner everyone else is a loser.

As a flames fan I have mixed feelings, on the positive side of things the oilers lost, on the negative side of things the ducks won. What's a guy to do when he wanted both teams to lose

True. It's just the degrees of losers underneath the cup winners.

Exactly! Either you win the Stanley Cup, or you might as well not make the playoffs.

First mud slung on either thread.....

Well, at least there is one classy Oilers fan on the forum. The rest are the more typical kind. The biggest reason you'll never see me at a game in Edmonton, Ever.

Sound familiar?????

First goal of the game and no more. Anaheim won second period. Came down to third period. Anaheim wanted to win more than Oilers. Two even teams, that either could advance. Anaheim finally did. Oilers third line has struggled in the playoffs with no offence. Expect a few changes over summer. 1) second goalie, 2) Eberle/Nuge one of these guys in Vegas, Defense is solid, 3) shake up of the fourth line. Expect 4-5 guys to be culled.
Good Job Oilers.
Top 4 next year.

Oooooh you must have missed all the threads around here for the last decade bashing the Oil. Try going back and looking at a couple of those. Sorry your feelings got hurt that the Flames got swept.

Love the BOA

Yes, very happy with the Oiler's performance this year. Defense made leaps and bounds. Goaltending was awesome and we only need a few tweaks up front and maybe another pick-up like Russell, and we are going to have another great season next year.

If your only measurement of success is the winning of the Stanley Cup then you must be an awful disappointed fan about 99% of the time.

Yeah. I'm really happy with the way the year went. Especially considering the last 5. They're mostly just kids, have to learn what it takes to win.

The Stanley Cup is the hardest award in pro sports to win. Sucks to be out but there is a lot of good to be found with what they've done.

And not too many teams make it to game 7 after having 2 games stolen by the refs.

Also the Ducks gave up a 7-1 loss in game 6, so I not sure your theory is very sound.

Yeah, I am sure the Flames fans felt that way during their series with all the references made to the "Wideman Effect"...... maybe it is the "Alberta Effect"!

No kidding, instead of a zamboni the Edmonton fans could cry enough tears to flood the ice.
