Default Fishing from the shore around Cranbrook and Fernie

We were camping for a weekend in Moyie lake park. Nice place, but it was too windy to go for water and too shallow to cast from the shore.
Tried Monroe lake with our little Seaeagle boat, got skunked.))
We are going east today on hwy 3 back to Alberta. Are there lakes on the way with options of fishing from shore? Casting or using marshmallows? Any advices will be greatly appreciated, thanks

Little Hiawatha Lake, just across the road from MOyie Lake PP, is fun for the kids. Right off the side of the gravel road, you can cast for bass & sunfish, and your sea-eagle will take you out to the lily pads on the far shore. Jim Smith Lake, just south of Cranbrook has a public park to launch your sea-eagle, and it’s full of small bass & perch.

Thank you, @thumper!
It is our visit to this area and I hope it not the last one, we liked it there. A woman in the camping advised to visit Jaffray reservoir. Not sure what she had in mind, it looks like there are several nice lakes around but different names.

Three lakes around Jaffray are Tie, Rosen and Baynes and they all hold small bass and perch.
