thats the truth right there. when mule deer are managed properly they can grow to some impressive sizes. thats the thing with mules...they are too dumb to grow that big without protection. look at all the whitetails that grow huge in alberta with no protection simply because they are smart enough to outwit most hunters. mule deer need to have the protection from hunters to live to old age.....well except in 234.....there are book mules behind every tree there. they must trickle in from saskatchewan i guess.

I would likely be more impressed if the photo wasn't shot using the "fish-eye-lens-long-arm" method.

Probably still an impressive deer, but the photos annoy the p**s out of me.

LOL. If you think mule deer are stupid your wrong. And really, that would explain you being a one hit wonder with the species...? Is that true?? If so,, who's got the comprehension problem.... Do you have more than one big mule deer to show for your time spent in the field? If no, go pound sand and come back when you know what your talking about. No disputing though that management is key to producing anything big, extirpation will not suffice and it is unacceptable on every level.

you should pay more attention....they have all been on here at one time or another. in fact i vaguely remember you telling me i put em up too much.......

so, against my better judgement, ill give you a chance to form an argument on how smart they are. odd thing is, you have said the same thing many times yourself. every time you whine about the management issues in alberta you are agreeing that mule deer need the protection of restrictive draws to have a prayer of growing big. explain why whitetails dont need that protection. your sig line says it all whether you want to admit it or not.

i realize that when i post you really feel the need to jump in with your verbal diarhea. tell ya what little fella.....pop this in and dont take it out until you have something intelligent to say. i know youre capable as you did it just the other day. of course based on the timeline, im guessing it will be another 6 months.

i can say the same for you. you hunt in a bow only zone. have a look where guns are allowed....big mules are rare in this province. i can honestly say that never in my life have i been outsmarted by a mule deer. they outrun me from time to time...but outsmart.......id feel like a complete doofus to be fooled by a mule.

and because some seem so mesmerized by my expeditions, ill go ahead and lay it out that the last mule i shot was in 2007. i am holding a tag this year, but so is robin, and she will be getting first crack at something worthy. i promise that my tag will not be used unless its a buck worth looking at. im well past the need to just fill a tag because i can. in fact, i have something even better in mind for that tag.......

LOL, now you've become a internet tough guy! LMFAO !

Let me lay it out for ya ! I hunt way more than just the bowzones!

Your the one that says there isn't 3 booner mulies in this province. And you've never been out smarted by a mulie...............Seems like not being able to find them, is half your problem . Guess you only find the dumb whitetails. Speaking of whitetails, stick to chasing the heaviest populated deer species on the planet. They don't need protection because they're like rats. Guess sheep fall into the same catergory for ya as well !

No one is mesmerized by you and what you shoot,.... but yourself! Hijacking threads and plastering your pics over and over...it really loses it's effect, Pumping your own tires !

Good luck on your mulie hunt, i'm sure you wont get anything , cause you wont find anything big enough, or dumb enough to shoot! ( betting, that's your excuse).....your gonna use your gun right??

Thanx for the entertainment again!

I concur, nothing on planet earth smart enough to get away from me either,,,, when I have a rifle in my hands LOL.... I can show you places Bambi in southern Ab that used to have w/t, and for years,,, and they are g.o.n.e. Put out the tags for them, guys with rifles roll in and NUKE them. How many dead deer do you want.... Its not difficult in the least nor is it hard to understand! As far as your stuttering about all your big mule deer and how dumb they are, how many HUNTED mule deer do you have??? 1? Ive seen one mule deer on here that you CLAIM to have killed with a bow. You also have a hog of all hogs, congratulations, but after seeing the field photo, like all your other pictures, its easy to see why you think they are dumb. If it cant get out of the way of the truck and a rifle, 20 below, standing in a brushed slough bottom during the rut, they surely are stupid! LOL!!!! Good job,,, I think.
Edit. Please be cautious about talking about smart you think you are compared to... Theres no resource on this continent that can withstand what we can throw at them, if we choose to do so. Its unfortunate that some have been on the recieving end of that very sort of treatment and quite nearly wiped out, and it was alot of years ago! Know what Im saying....

Very Nice Deer, You Have to remember that these people just hunt day in and day out. I am here to tell you that if some of us just hunted for a living every day, Scouting all the time, Do you think we could achieve a 200" mulie in Alberta? You bet we could.

Yes they are good hunters and they harvest beautiful animals and they sound like great people, I watch his show all the time. Awsome show!!!
BUT.... Like i said i know probally 95% of us or more have to try fit in a couple weeks or less per year for hunting around the rest of our busy lives.

You look at Donny Zenner, Would you compare him to Cody Robbins and the crew, You bet i would because thats what he does for a living, Does he kill World class animals yes. Do you think he kills a 330-370 bull every year with his bow because he is just that good or do you think it might have something to do with being able to hunt for 90 days strait every morning and night!!!!

Am i jelous, You bet i am, I would love to be able to do what they can do, Hunt for a living, Congrads to her on a Stud of a Mulie and to the rest of there crew on the monsters as well this year, They deserve them for the time that they put in.

No, I wouldn't most definatley not compare the two. I've never seen Codys crew in action, but I'm sure they are nothing like each other. Cody and crew are top notch, I hear.

As far as spending the time, you got that right. Spending every waking hour out there, gives way better chance . Finding them is only half the battle, then you still gotta make it happen. There is guys here on A.O, that find 200 + inch Muleys yearly, in Alta.
