Default Deer hide

Hi guys
Is the hair on a deer hide will stay on the hide or fall sooner then it should?
I am thinking about making a seat cover with it

You will wear it off in no time and have a nasty mess to clean up

They only make good seat covers if you tan them without the hair. Deer hair is very brittle.
