Default Maligne 2013

went to Maligne for my annual trip its been 34 years now and I still am in love with the whole experience of Maligne Lake 4 nights and 5 days of fishing ..got lucky this year as the weather was to be rain and we got lucky got rain .. only abit until Fri .. fish was awesome with lots of releases my buddy Tim did over 30 releases on the fly and his casting is on target so if he was hot we would put our lines close .. lmao.. and he still would get his ...

get time with great friends that can cook ,had a great day on my birthday at 12 1/2 mile creek and saw some 40 to 60 ft down too 160fow down showing some nice fish with the thermocline just a foot or two lower than the fish
here is some pics enjoy

David

Thank you for taking the time to clean up the garbage at the campsite. It may seem minor to some, but I believe finding somebody else's garbage really detracts from the whole wilderness experience in such a pristine location, let alone anywhere else. Kudos.

one size up from the normal which is 1 to 3# range ...saw some that would be bigger but only a few .. just the same as Kootenay Lake

we spent 3 days chironomiding and only one day trolling and looking out in the middle other than on the way up and back.. Tim did 4 days chironomid fishing and kicked our butts .. Bill trolled the flies and did ok on numbers ..I was trolling the hardware for the day got 7 doing my trolls off the shelf's I know down past Spirit Island ..
