How was the size of the Bows you landed? The one in the pics looks decent! Love the pice with Chief in the background!

Thanks for sharing,

Don't get there near enough anymore but it's my all-time favourite lake! nice pics. Backswimmers are on the menu! Hope they got the aerators running for winter this year. How's the water level?

It would appear that your bead-head Prince Nymph was working too! Heading down there tomorrow for 3 or 4 days - will add a report next week.

Spent this past weekend plus Monday and Tuesday at Police Lake. Gale force winds all the way from Calgary on Friday so didn't fish. Then "Wind Warnings" for Saturday and Sunday and this time the weather man was right on as we had 40 - 80 km/h winds and saw 2-foot waves and whitecaps both days and all night too until 4 Am Sunday when the rain started. Regardless, I fished in my waders in a small area protected from the wind and C&R about 20 over the two days. Monday was partly sunny and only a light breeze so spent a few hours around the boat landing and caught another dozen or so. Yesterday was sunny and calm until about 4 PM and there was lots of action from my pontoon boat and from shore with about 22 landed over 4 hours in the afternoon.
Backswimmers are always a good bet this time of year and I caught all but one on size 10 and 12 backswimmers. The other was on a rubber hopper pattern just to see if I could. Backswimmer pattern is a silver or gold mylar body with a black back and no bead weight because of the shallow weeds.
Just have to go back ASAP!!
