I never realized.

Default Threads like this

Threads like this come up several times every year. Some believe they know what took place and disagree with the banning or infracting of a member. At the end of the day there is a justified reason for every action, that I will guarantee and giving an explanation for each one would be labor intensive and a waste of bandwidth. As for the negative comments about the board, if you have such distain and hatred for AO then why are you here? If you aren't going to be part of the solution in making this place the best it can be, you are part of the problem.

Good night all and enjoy the last weekend of the big game season!

I once got a suspension for going against the wishes of a mod. Did I hold resentment? Nope. Did I get my knickers in a knot? Nope. I knew the rules and willingly went against it. But, I took it like a man and got over it. I even pm'd the mod upon my return just to ask how the strike system worked, he was surprised that's all I had to say about my suspension lol. Play by the rules, you won't have problems.

I guess if someone doesn't like the way things are done, they could always ask for their membership fee back.

I'd say if someone got banned or an infraction then they probably deserved it. The mods on here do their job as volunteers and I respect their decisions. They have way more info than any other member on this forum. They get to look over and delete posts/threads before a lot of people see them and rightfully so. They also get PM's reported to them that some members feel the need to slam other members with. If you have a problem with another member then talk it over with that member via pm and keep it civil, if you can't keep it civil then keep it to yourself or go somewhere else and play there instead. It's actually quite simple, if you don't agree with the rules and decisions of the moderators on this forum then leave and go elsewhere.

A question for a mod:
Are pms not private? Can they be held against you? Can a pm be reported and a mod can open it up and have a look? Can a mod access someones pm's at the flick of a wand?

Man , some of the guys on here have more drama than my two teenage daughters and wife combined.
Its just an internet forum, you know the world wont end if an opinion is different than yours . Right ?

I'm not here to start anything, just stating my observations. It is your community after all. Im just a guy that turned to hunting for food.

You could always ban me or as requested several times; remove my account.

pm's are private. We can not access them. And yes you can report a pm.

As for the topic.

Lots of things happen behind the scenes that you guys cant see, everyone of us spend hours on here everyday and no way can we read every post made, and I doubt you can either. So those of you who say they saw no reason for anyone to be banned, well you probably missed it and for good reason. I also need to remind a lot of you "funny guys" who like to turn and twist posts that what you think is funny can be quite the opposite for most on here. Its this twisting and turning of posts that have stopped a lot of good people from posting on here.

Sorry Dave I've been on this board as a mod since it changed to this format. I can't access any pm, other than the ones sent to me. On this point you are wrong sorry to say.

Admin can give a mod access to read PM's.

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=91369

So, CAN a mod read pm's? Yes they can.

DO they read pm's? Up to each forum admin and how they choose to run it.

and your arguing what? we are obviously telling you we don't which obviously means we have not been given access. were not talking about what functionality vbulletin offers

personally who would ever want that access?? we have enough to handle, what happens behind close doors, all the power to you................unless being threatened or cause harm.... then they get reported and we can view

YOU may not have the authority...but that doesn't mean you can't have the authority to read PM's. It's all how much power admin decides to give it's moderators.

But if you think there is no way that anyone in admin can read a PM you're mistaken.
