Thanks for letting me post it. But ya. both hind legs were bound. I dont know how they do it. But it took a couple thick sticks and everything we had to un twist that fence. The look in the eye was genuine fear. The sounds of its breathing I will never forget. I can relate to your experience. Simply a gift to be that close to something wild and alive.

Awesome, guys!

I once saved a young pine martin. Then it swam into a fish ladder.

LC, I very much admire your moral and ethic code here.

The fact that you took an Elk a few days previously, and then showed the humanity to stop and help this Elk shows what real hunters and real hunting ethics is about - Many people who are against hunters don't see this side of them, I know, as i was once on "that side of the fence"

So many people (I was one of them once, but thats a long story), see hunters as simply people who do not like, love of respect the animals they harvest, but this again shows me why I am now starting on the path to hunting.

This is story is what it is all about...natural respect, natural love, and natural balance!

Once I am out in the field this season on my first hunt, I will use this as type of an inspiration as to the type of hunting morals and ethics I wish to take with me

Thank you for not only taking your time to free the elk, but to show what hunting and hunters is all about, especially to those who troll here, and look at these forums who maybe against hunters.

much respect.

Kanati,

Thanks for the note...honestly I just did what came to mind at the time and I wanted to get the little guy out of the fence as quickly as possible.
