Default "Mrs. Brady Bought A Gun....."

Well, on Saturday, I decided to check out some shotguns and 22's at wholesale. We stood up at the counter for about 3 seconds, before Bill asked us if he could help us? Sure lets see some side by side's and over under's. After groping all they had......outside of the glass case.....I turned my attention to the 22's. First he brought us a Savage. The wily old bugger knew what he was up to I think, he brought a right handed thumbhole laminate, and I am like....what the heck would I want to see that for, he had to have clued into the fact that I was left-handed after I shouldered 12 or so shotguns. Ya......he hands it to the wife, she gives me the look, and shoulders it. SOLD LMAO.

We got it home to the farm and she could hardly wait to shoot it. After running some patches through it, we go out back on ma and pa's back 40 and let 'er buck. First 10 shots, 9 were within 3 inches, at 40 yards, and that was totally free hand with a bit of a wind at her back.
The best part............I cannot shoot the damn thing, them thumbstocks DO NOT LIKE southpaws.
Oh well, momma is uber-excited with her new gun, that is in her name.

Nice rig!

Never shot using a thumb hole before, I'd like to give it a try sometime.

I've just bought a .300wm from a forum member about two months ago, and a shotgun just this past friday from another AO member.

One of these days I'll save some pennies for a new gun, but these ones I got are great and couldn't be happier.

I think I'm getting an addiction for firearms.... Now I'm going to have to buy a safe to store these things.

I guess that is one way to make sure that you won't be shooting her gun.

Hello Brady,
Was out yesterday with that same 17, with a BSA 3x9x40, awesome accuracy with myself and my 2 boys out to 175yds.Wind was an issue so will see what we can do next time out. The boys have suddenly lost interest in the 22 by the way.

It's always nice to buy the mrs. a little gun of her own, keeps her thoughts off yours too.

And here I thought this thread must be about Sarrah Brady. Now, THAT would be news.

I thought it was about Florence Henderson (Mrs. Brady from the Brady Bunch)! Thought she traded in her Wesson cooking oil for a Smith and Wesson.
