Default "Flip targets"

I just bought a set of these horizontal flip targets, the ones that flop side to side when you shoot them, just wondering if anyone has used them and how long they last for.The steel is 3/8" thick, would a .45 colt "cowboy action" load damage this too much?

don't know about a .45, but my grandson and nephew have probably put over 2000 rounds of .22's at them....dunno about the larger calibers

we got one last weekend and ours says it's rated for 9mm to 30 06 if i'm remembering correctly but there are two types one is for large calibers and the other is only .22 i haven't tried it out with large calibers yet. But now that you've reminded me i will try it and I'll let you know.

OK i tried mine out i was skeptical of it withstanding the 30 06 rifle so i started with a 303 British if you plan on hitting the targets it's fine but if one of your shots hits the center tree like mine it will go through. mine still seems to work but I'm definitely going to reenforce the center before i take anymore shots.

Ya i got the same kind 9mm-30/06, im thinking that at about 20 yards a standard .45 load shouldn't be able to go through it and its sitting on an angle to deflect the bulled downward so hopefully it works out good.If not i'll fab up some bigger plates for it.
