Default Forty Creek

Someone on the forum recommended forty creek, picked up a bottle of "barrel select" tonite. Wow, on the rocks, no water or mix, great for sipping. The flavors are hard to nail down but it's got some great taste to it.

If you like your whiskey, give it a try...

I'm not a whiskey drinker at all... But a three finger on the rocks of 40 creek that my brother in law poured was a mighty fine pour...

Default Forty creek

Your welcome! Now my problem is getting the forty creek copper pot. They dont export it from ontario. I was lucky enough to have my nephew bring a case this past summer when he came to work for me.

Liquor store in Bonnie doon mall in Edmonton has the copper pot, looked at it tonite, wasn't sure what to buy. I'm sure other stores have it as well.

Seriously?! Thats good news. When I last asked at one of the larger / finer liqour merchants here it didnt show as an available product. I'll be checking that out today. Good thing there's a road trip through E town coming up! Thanks!

I really enjoy 40 Creek, for when I don't want to shell out the cash on a bottle of 18 year old, there 12 year old stuff is a very close second for taste and finish going down.

Check out some of the lower end stores as well, I'm surprised at how many have a great selection of different whiskeys. There was one next to the co-op on 52 st in NW Calgary that carried surprising brands.
