Default Spring Fly Fishing on The Bow River

Hello everyone, I have a new photo essay on my flyfishingexplorer.com website called My Top 12 Spring Fly Fishing Flies.

This new photo essay is about getting out in the spring after a long winter to fly fish for Rainbow and Brown Trout. I am always eager to fly fish the Bow River and try to figure out what flies and techniques will work to catch trout.

As of April 1, 2017 new regulations on the Bow River have made it a catch and release river open all year round from the Banff National Park to the Bassano Dam.

Check out all the Bow River photos and the list of my top 12 spring fly fishing flies on the website link below:

My website also has several other photo essays from the Oldman, Livingstone, Elbow and Highwood Rivers. You can even watch videos of my interviews with legendary Jack Dennis and Jim McLellan as they discuss their fly fishing topics.

Tight lines,

Nickolas T.
