Hello..
Hello all OutdoorsMen ( and OutdoorsWomans too )
New member here,
I live in High River and got hit hard lost every thing, including $2000.0 in fishing equipment, my rifles and camping eq.. fortunately my car was at my brothers so I did not lose that too.. I am slowly trying to rebuild my fishing equipment as I can. I have caught most of the species down south, but would like to try and go to Edmonton and try for a Sturgeon! never caught one. but, I would need a guide!
been reading a lot on here, some of you, wow the ones you get heh
Thanks all for any tips i could get..

Hello and welcome!
I've been on this board for ages. You'll find kindred spirits and the odd troll. Just roll with it and have fun. I've lived in edmonton for a long time and never got a sturgeon. ..that said there are a few guys that know. If you are looking for a paid guide there are some around.
If you want to get into ice fishing just post. Happy fishing

Welcome.
You don't need to go to Edmonton to catch sturgeon. One of our forum members has caught 190+ in the south this year.

Welcome to the forums, and like has been mentioned before, the south country has some fine dino fishing and the master himself has invited ya. Can't wait for the pictures.

no guide neccessary. toss a worm into the ssr and have the camera ready. quite honestly, the south sask river beats the holy poop out of the north sask in sheer numbers of sturgeon, and size too. a good bet would be to take up the offer of some of these fishing freaks to help you out. they kniow what they are doing and the ones ive met are pretty decent people.
