Default little red bugs.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me what the the little red (tick like) critters are that are all over me every time I come out of the bush at this time of year? They don't seem to bite or be a bother other than crawling all over a person.

Chiggers, they will bite and cause some irritation , but minor compared to a tick. My son and I had them all over us a couple times after walking through tall grass. He got bit on the back in about 4 spots.

Well I'd pretty much have to take a pic under a microscope, there tiny! Iv been aware of them for years, and have heard lots of other people talk about them to, but no one really knows what they are.

I believe you are right. They suck juice out of plants, not people.Teeny little red things, harmless but they will wipe out you houseplants pretty fast.Or your grow op.

sounds like mites

You find them in your backyard in Calgary, Edmonton etc. Not just a bush bug.
