Default Trapping Coat

I'm looking for the a suitable coat that I can get a lot done in, and keep warm, and deal with sweat. I've tried a plethora of different styles, weights, fleece, down, wool, old school, new school and so on. I'm a monster 6'6" 300# - often mistaken for a moose in the bush. I make big noise.

Doing some reading, I found the old style capote coat. Traditional to some, dressy to others, but they must be functional.

Has anyone experienced using this type of coat? For trapping? Other? Wool? Fleece? Breath? Scent?

Try military surplus, coat is made to take a lot of abuse and keep you warm and dry. Lots of pockets New the coat probably cost $500 you get it for $80

I wear a Canada goose expedition. There is not a jacket warmer made that I've ever found. -50 and I'm warm as can be. When it's warmer out I just take the jacket off while making sets.

Helly Hanson for me. One tough coat, not sure how long I've had it, over 5 years for sure. Comfortable and warm.
