You won't see lynx doing this very often...mating behaviour.
Thought I would share a video I saw today. Lynx at their best. Interesting vocalizations while courting. (I guess all males of all species get attitude from prospective mates. )

Very cool but I’d think after that much attitude he’d be the one with the head ache

We have been seeing on average 20-30 lynx a shift at work they are incredible amazing animals to watch, during the winter when a road is graded within 2-3 hours the lynx will be watching for grouse they are smart

Lynx cycle in population with snowshoe hares. Usually 1 year behind. Seeing 30 lynx a day is definitely the top or peak of the cycle. They will starve and crash this year. Only to repeat the cycle every 7-10 years on average.

Lynx is tied very closely to snowshoe hare. It’s amost it’s exclusive prey. Hare and lynx are probably the closest relationship out there for dependency.

Awesome video. I've heard that racket a couple of times back in Newfoundland, wasn't sure what it was...

Perhaps by shift he means like a week or two? Because those numbers are just a tad high.

Yes you are probably right! Even those numbers would suggest a near top of the cycle.

Cool Link, thanks for posting. Have been lucky to spot lynx several times over the years along the highways of Northern Alberta and the NWT. Also seen a few out hunting. A very neat animal to observe in its own habitat.
