Default Alberta fishing Guide... BC Equivalent?

Hi All,

I'm headed to BC in a week or so and I'm wondering if anyone knows of a publication in BC similar to Barry Mitchell's Alberta Fishing Guide.

Or more specifically, publications or articles with info on access points to creeks/rivers in the Kootenay National Park.

Surprisingly difficult to find this info on the web. Only the odd mention here or there. Leads me to believe that the fishing in the park isn't so hot.

Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know of one, but if it exists it must come in several volumes. 😊

Check out the classified waters SSE of the park.

Lots of great options.

The Backroad Map books are region specific for BC. They have lists of popular rivers and lakes in the back outlining the fishing, and showing where on the map they are. I highly recommend one of them. You should be able to find them at most outdoor and fishing/hunting stores.

this is the one you'll want for where you're headed.

Thanks, everyone.

Truly, much appreciated. I'm hoping for a fun and fruitful vacation and this info is going to help substantially. I am not opposed at all to the "go out and find something" method, but when you only have six days and you're splitting it up between you and your wife..... It can't be all fishing all the time.

If I stumble onto any gems, you guys will be the first to know.
