If I was a bettin man well....I don`t want to upset all the Flames fans!!
Exactly a 8 th or 9th place fringe playoff team...thay have to go on another hot streak in order to make the 2nd season......not gonna happen.

I think after 6 weeks it has to be more than just a lucky streak.
I am hesitant to really start believing again. But it sure is fun to watch.

I am going to all three outdoor games. Alumni on Saturday, the HC and the Hitmen game Monday. Going for my girlfriend's bday, turns 20 on the 20th when she is going to her first NHL game watching her favorite team, the Canadiens. Sad thing is they are going to lose though

Kaberle trade finally sounds like a done deal.

Kaberle to Boston for Boston's First round pick, prospect Joe Colbourne, and a conditional pick.

Definatly better than what the Leafs got for Mats....and Colbourne sounds like he could grow into a very good centre down the road...

I'm going to it. Should be fun. Are you going Jamie? It think it is supposed to be about -10 which seems about right for an outdoor game. I'll probably be wearing the mad trapper hat and the helly hansen's.

so who thinks Hemmer will be gone at or before the trade deadline?...what can we get for him...what would we want for him? I will be sad to see him go, and he just may want to stay and be here to help rebuild etc. I guess it all depends on what (if anything) gets offered. I really think that we need a proven, big, strong Dman. Not sure if there is any out there that might be being shopped or not....I am not sure if I would give hemmer up just for picks, although he I think he goes unrestricted next year?

7 teams sitting from 68-71 points so the Flames arent the only ones who need to keep winning...

Sure sounds like an impossible dream to me Kanon your so silly..

I am thinking about 2PM as well and hitting one of those tent set ups for a beer and a bite before the game. I think I will get the wife to drop me off there since we don't live too far away. Likely LRT to crowfoot Schanks after the game and cab it home from there. Hopefully run into you and Willy somewhere along the way. What a great event for you guys on Bachelor Weekend!

I gave mine away. I have been to 4 of them so far (2 NHL, 1 WHL, 1 AJHL) and figured I would let a buddy take his little one as they would enjoy it more. You and Willy will have a blast!!!!!

They will not get what Oiler fans think they will get for either Hemsky or Penner. With that said I believe the team themselves is looking for to much for the 2 of them and they will both be here next year. Rumor has it that Tambelini thinks Hemsky should get a First rounder, good prospect and another higher pick and that will not happen ( unless someone overpays).

In the west who knows who will make the playoffs!! They have looked like a playoff team as of late. It looks like sir Darryl was the cancer of the team and not the players themselves. I can honestly say that I have never seen a team turn it around the way the Flames have by losing their GM!!

I am a fan of the game itself. I show no allegiance to any team! I do have a Flames golf ball but have yet had the chance to find out just how lucky it is!!

Very true. However, it was him that put this team together.
Kinda damned if you do damned if you dont.

He must have had a ton of controll over the guys.

He is the one that put this team together, but he is also the one that built the mess they face in the future. Weak prospect pool, too many no trade clauses, no cap space and no draft picks again this year.

And all those teams have at least 2 games in hand on you....you are going to have to ride Kipper AGAIN and we know how that usually ends....

Flames finish outa the playoffs IMO

Goober I think you have it wrong, I believe Tambi is looking for a 1st and a prospect for Hemmer or a 1st and a young roster player..which I think is fair. He has another full year before he is UFA...lets face it if Fischer and Versteeg get a 1st Hemmer easily commands the above and no this isnt an overvalue..imo

Dang it is gonna be some kind of chilly tomorrow! I wonder if they will let you in with one of those Mr Buddy heaters that run off the little green propane tanks. lol If ever there was a time for a wee bit of a chinook this is it. That being said it will be a real neat experience, I've enjoyed all the prior outdoor games.

How do I get to McMahon Stadium?
McMahon Stadium is located at 1817 Crowchild Trail NW, Calgary, Alberta T2M 4R6. It is easily accessible using public transportation. Banff Trail C-Train station is located across from the stadium on Crowchild Trail, with a convenient pedestrian over-pass leading to the grounds. McMahon Stadium is about a ten minute cab ride from downtown Calgary and a twenty minute ride from the Calgary International Airport. There will not be any public parking at McMahon Stadium.

Good to know!
