Default Best 77/22 Trigger Upgrade?

I have decided to lighten the heavy trigger pull on my Ruger 77/22. There are many options from just changing the trigger spring(Mcarbo) to a full trigger, spring, and sear replacement( JARD).
Timney & Volquartzen have replaceable sears & springs and both of them state some filing may be required. I don't have the tools or experience for this. Riflebasix has a nice trigger & spring replacement.
Anybody want to share what they did or if they have any experience with the above kits?
Thanks in advance!

Take it to a gunsmith who can mill a bit off the sear and replace the spring. 15 minute job that will get you a nice crisp 2-2.5lbs.

I thought of this but living in Jasper there are not many smiths nearby so shipping and/or travel and the work would cost as much or more as the parts I can order. It certainly would be my 1st choice if I lived closer to a smith. Thanks!

I replaced my trigger with a Rifle Basix trigger, easy to install, and excellent trigger. Be careful when modifying a sear, many sears are surface hardened, and removing the surface removes the hardening.

I went with Rifle Basix. Install tomorrow and a week of gophering coming up. Can't wait to get out with the new trigger.

Well I am so happy with the Rifle Basix trigger!

It was easy to install, about 10 min all in. The instructions were detailed & precise. The trigger feel is great. No travel and breaks at 2 lbs consistently. It can be set a bit lower but I like it where it is. It took a while to get used to as I was used to a 6lb trigger so I did prematurely fire a few shots, lol. Overall I would highly recommend this upgrade and I wish I did it years ago.
