I have noticed my OAL is all over the place. I should look into one, it’s all about consistency.

Got some N565. Virgin brass.
57gr
2945

2950
0.4” group

58gr
3010
2997
3017
0.9” group (faint ejector marks, one finger bolt lift)

Going to do some fine tuning, my goal was 2950fps. But appears this powder is leaving me a little more on table.

Load 1 bullet going up by .1 for the last 2 grains before max
You’ll find a flat spot where the velocity doesn’t change much
Then play with your seating depth

Not to derail this thread but just wondering what your barrel length is on your 6.5 x 284 Marky_Mark? Contemplating the same for my 6.5 x 284 is why i ask.

I’m just building my 6.5PRC. Building it on a long action so my COAL will likely be about 3.2 ish .... finally got my mits on enough RL-26 for the barrel. Just hope it likes it.

I am very happy with it, will try for more velocity next year. Have doing development in cold, have blown primers in summer conditions before.
