Nice Lefty, either you're vertically challenged OR that's a good sized bull!!!!

There has to be a story behind that one? When your knife is put away, I'd like to hear it.

LOL, I am actually just shy of 6' and I am standing slightly in front of him...he is a keeper!

When I was pulling him out with the quad it was having a hard time even on flat ground! Then the hooks on my tow rope straightened out....the farmer was moving bales and graciously offered his tractor and I wasn't going to turn him down.

Well, if you're that tall, I suppose you didn't celebrate with a mojito.....!! Going to have some great eats there, his back straps probably as big as my arm! You have to love a farmer and his tractor too. I had the same good luck on my last cow, an easy 20 minute job and in the truck.

I'm afraid that now I have first hand experience with the Grim Reapers on my moose last week, I may jump on the reaper train with Lefty! Those broad heads are amazing. My arrow and broadhead are perfectly intact and still razor sharp after a frontal shot/pass through.

That's a tank!
Congratulations on a great elk.
Any idea the weight ?

Looks to be 4 to 5 times bigger than you, so ..
where you really "hunting" or was it more like "self defense" when you shot ?
:-) lol Just kidding. He's a huge bull for sure.
Really nice rack too let us know what he scores when you get a chance.

Nice elk! I bet there wasn't a drop of blood left in him! I have a feeling he didn't go too far.

My 2017 addition to the tread. I put the story in the hunting section. Turns out it is a long read.

Thanks. Grim Reaper razortip. Not a huge blood trail really.. mostly internal bleeding and then lots of blood around where it caught up to him.
