Default Wolves west of Turner Valley

Was out yesterday morning, and man were the wolves howling!! Anyone else hear them?

Just west of turner valley up against the forestry.

Guess that’s why the elk weren’t anywhere to be seen

I saw fresh wolf tracks in 308, Bob creek on Thursday. Looked like 3 of them. And a set of bear tracks.

They have moved in west of turner valley / Millarville in early October I’m guessing looking for moose while they are calling. Been getting them on my cameras regularly.

Perfect! Here I just thought I was a crappy hunter this fall, I was bow hunting elk SW of Millarville in Sept and October. Now I can blame it on the wolves!
In all seriousness, the past two years we’ve seen less elk and moose on our trail cams and wondered if it was due to predation. My rancher neighbour said he’s not losing cattle in their summer ranges due to wolves.
I’ve not seen/heard them but I sure believe they’re out there.

Amount of game in that area there's bound to be. Seen two singles last winter/spring, movin away pretty fast.

I was hiking in Sheep River Park this September and heard wolves howling up on a ridge top. I've also noticed more tracks the last couple years in all areas I hunt.
