7mm stw nosler brass
So I have a bunch of nosler brass that won't fit in my gun. I have a box of Remington brass that is twice fired and loads and shoots fine. However when I reload the nosler brass it seems to catch up on the shoulder of the case when I am chambering a round and won't let the bolt close. Could it be that the nosler brass is thicker walled than my Remington brass? Shouldn't matter after running through the sizer die I wouldn't think. Any ideas??
Should add that I have sized, trimmed and the cases are all the right length I measured the shoulders and the nosler stuff isn't sizing that great.

Was the Nosler brass previously fired in another rifle? I have found the Nosler brass to be quite soft, and as a result it does grow more than the Remington brass when fired. I had to download the Nosler brass, so I stopped using it.

Seating die could have been to low.

Could be,but that should also cause problems withe the Remington brass. When the OP replies as to whether the brass was fired in another rifle that should helo to determine the issue.

Are you sure the Nosler brass is not simply too long, most common cause of it not chambering. If that isn't the issue carefully measure the Nosler versus Rem brass with a good micrometer and see what is out of spec. Once you know where the Nosler brass is too big, you can determine whether you can set the FL die to fix the problem.
Just as an aside, Like Elk11, I am not a fan of Norma/Nosler brass and only use it in things I can't get any other brass for like the 460 Weatherby.

Will new, unfired Nosler brass chamber before you seat a bullet?

I've trimmed the brass accordingly. Same as the Remington brass

An empty resized unloaded case won't even fit. But Remington fits fine.

New unfired and once fires. Same doesn't seem to matter.

It sounds like your rifle has a small chamber, and Nosler brass is oversize from the factory.A shorter shellholder may help. You can purchase them , or shorten one a few thousandth yourself.Of course, I am assuming that your FL sizing die is adjusted properly, and your press isn't flexing. Is the shellholder tight against the FL die at full stroke, with the Nosler brass? If the belt dimensions on the Nosler brass are out; there isn't much that you can do.

Check your rim on the nosler brass, it may not be fitting in the bolt. Look for a shiny spot on the outside of the rim. The extractor may be cutting into the rim.
