Default Exploding Targets

Does anyone know if exploding targets are legal in Alberta? Would they fall under the fireworks section of the Alberta Fire Code which would then require a permit etc?

I saw these advertised on sportsmansguide.com and thought they would be a lot of fun.

Thanks

WARNING: You must be 21 or older to purchase Exploding Scarecrows.
WARNING: Exploding Scarecrows cannot be shipped to New York City; Marin, Napa, Ventura and Yolo counties, CA; D.C.; MA; Canada or Puerto Rico. Please check your State, County and City laws for restrictions before ordering this product

Pretty much a moot point.

If you can find out what is in them check out the natural resources Canada page they regulate things that go boom in Canada.

Not sure if it ( tannerite) is legal or not, but IIRC it is.
BRING IT over the border is the problem!!
I've used this stuff, pretty cool actually!

^^^^ I found a full 20LB bottle of liquid propane at a intersection last year.

Would that be classified as a "exploding target"?

I'm just itching to see what a 270-1 expansion factor looks like.

Check up on the reviews for this company.

Complaint after complaint. That includes tents, and even t-shirts.

I looked at the prices that seemed too good to true, and then checked the reviews.

You know cat, I might have to give these guys a try.

I know there will be a risk, and I am risk aversive, but maybe one needs a little excitement in their life.

I am not sure if they are legal in Canada or not.
But I have had a chance to play with Tannerite in the US, and yes it is fun to play with.

Anyone who hasn't seen it, you should do a Youtube search on it.

I've had nothing but good luck with Sportsmans Guide, and I've spent a ton there in the last 18 yrs. I buy just about all my footwear from them, just got 3 pair of workshoes (two year supply at best for me) at $40 each, same pair here is $130. Probably about the third time I've done this. Browning hunting boots, $69 on sale, $249 locally. Even with shipping and tax, a steal comparatively. Also, 4 pair of Serengeti sunglasses, the real deal, for $50 less than one pair here. I could go on, but you get my point. If you know your products, and compare prices, they are pretty hard to beat.
