I am very responsible and am super easy to get along with. I am more then willing to tag along with someone on a mulie hunt (I have no draw) and help with the game. I just really dont want to sit at home for 9 days on my b-day week since I cant afford to head out to the mountains with my truck everyday. Fellow Members,

I'm also looking for a partner / mentor. I'm new in this area, just moved to High Prairie about 4 months ago and I don't know many people here. I lived in Europe and the US before, hunted for WT deer, so I don't have much of experience of other games, but I want to learn (and I learn fast )
I have all my gears, truck and a quad. I hunt with bow and rifle. I'd hunt with a screwdriver if there would be a season for it....
I work from M to F and every second Saturday.
I'm 41 years old, married, have a 15 y/o daughter.
I'm a non-smoker (I can't tolerate cigarette smoke since I quit years ago), social drinker, conservative.
I missed the drawing, but I have the general WT deer, elk, and bear tags. I'm responsible and easy to get along with.
If you are interested, shoot me a PM, we can meet somewhere for a beer and get to know each other a little better.
Thanks!

Anyone need a hunting partner Friday a.m. near Calgary? I have some time off work & thought I might try to fill another whitetail tag .

Throw me a message if ya like, may just wander over to 412-414 if not otherwise.

I'm a non smoker, responsible law abiding pull his own weight first year hunter. I can clean my own & have all my own gear.

Default Wanted Hunting Partner....

Hello, I am a 35 year old easy going White male looking to see if their is any intrest in a WhiteTail Buck hunt (day trip) into WMU 300 on Nov 14 and maybe 15 . I dont often take people that I dont know, all my buddies are working so I am going to give this a try...I have permission on a few chunks of land which have always been productive...that being said i am looking for someone willing to walk and stalk, I do very little truck/road hunting...I am well experienced in the field, but always willing to teach/learn new things. If you are between the age of 25 - 45 and have a WT buck tag please feel free to PM me..OH Ya I live in lethbridge and would be willing to pick you up if in the same city, if not you will need a ride to my house or meeting spot. NO Alcohal or drugs during hunting time, what u drink or smoke after the hunt is your choice....Saftey First....PS: These are my spots and are pretty much exclusive to a small group of people, so to say that you can claim it as your own after, it will not happen..not to be rude just truthful..I have good relations with landowners and want to keep it that way.....

I do bring one advantage to the table and that's abilty to scout large areas from the air. My job requires me to fly low level in the foothills and forest reserve's regulary and it gives me an oppertunity to watch the animals from a unique perspective year round. I see what the elk are doing year round and it's not uncommon to spot 50+ moose in a days work. I think that with my eyes in the sky and somebody's experience on the ground we could have a lot of successful hunting trips.

If your interested PM

Cheers.

Just remember that there are laws about buzzing the animals and then hunting them on the same day. Read up on the regs. You wouldn't want to lose your pilots license.

Default Looking for "mentor" in the Spruce Grove/Stony Plain area

I am a 37 year old male, married with two daughter. I will drink a couple of beers on weekends and do not do drugs. I am in IT and do not care about talking sports. I can talk all day about movies and food amongst other things.

I recently got my PAL and hunting license. I own a .22, a 30-06, a 12 guage shotgun with two barrels (bird and deer) and a compound bow. I used to go fising on a regular basis but this past year has been pretty busy. I live at an acreage North of Stony Plain. Ideally, I would like to start with gophers (yes I know it is too late) and move up from there. I love deer meat (well meat in general) and in the long run would like mount a few heads. I got two girls and would like to bring the "boys" in the room.

For now though as I said, any meat will do. I guess the biggest challenge would be the field dressing. I am the type of guy that learn by hands on. Reading books and watching videos is one thing but doing it is another. I have no problem gutting fish...

For the next little while, I have a pretty tight schedule. That is why I would like to do like a one dayer, somewhere near by. Does not matter if it is deer, ducks or any other meat. If someone had it scheduled, I am sure I would make the time to go. I also have a friend that has gone hunting before, that would like to tag along.

PM me if interested...

Default Lethbridge Area Whitetail Tag

Herro!

Me and my buddy were supposed to go out this weekend (first time) with some of his friends. They ended up bailing on us lol. Got a job and are moving north.

Just wondering if anyone around Lethbridge area is going hunting and wouldnt mind a couple of beginners to go with. More so the only problem we have is finding a place to hunt, technique of going about hunting (were not noobs, just always something to learn from other people), field dressing (videos can only get you so far), maybe how to butcher your meat? i heard the place in town shut down, so i dont know where to go for that.

But yah, just wondering. I have a 7mm mag. and hes got a 270. all sighted in and ready to go. Just dont have anyone anymore. We each have our whitetail general tag. All licensed and everything. Were not d**ks or disrespectful either. Just looking for a good way to get started and learn the basics from technically a mentor/teacher lol

Just send me a pm and well go from there.

Thank you

We are looking for 1-3 guys physically fit (between 25-35, like us) who are dedicated enthusiastic hunters to join our group. our group currently consists of fathers/sons but the dads are too far over the hill and can no longer hunt aggressively anymore.
I know there is always a lot of talk out there about how awesome some guys think they are, we are not the best but we have valuable experience, amazing hunting/shooting skills, and the animals to prove it!
we are farmers ourselves so we have ties with other farmers as well, so our hunting land base is massive.
we are willing to train you to hunt if you don't have the skills. we hunt everything except mtn goats and cats. someone with sheep skills would be awesome, as we have never hunted them, but would like to. (we mainly focus
on Elk, Moose, Deer, Geese, Coyotes). we have all our own processing equipment so all our meat is clean, cut, and wrapped to a high standard with no cost, but you have to be willing to help out.
we drink socially, no drugs, and are looking for someone like minded, as we like to joke around a lot and make hunting an awesome experience! no guides or guys that can't keep a secret allowed.

send me a PM if you're game!
. Heading out for deer and elk for a few days this week, still room for one guy!!

Default Crusty Old Fart looking for hunting partner – around Calgary

I hunt deer and varmints with a bow and rifle with an occasional trip to the public range at Sibbald and would like to partner up with someone as I am getting long in the tooth and my wife is bugging me about hunting alone.

I don’t hunt or shoot every weekend and I don’t have any honey holes to share as I hunt public land. Nor do I want to steal your special spot
But I have a couple of leads on new places to hunt that I would like to explore with a partner.

I am easy to get along with and am prepared to share the expenses and the chores.

Please send me a PM and we can get together for coffee to discuss hunting.

Richard

Cougar Hunter Required.

Must be physically fit as I don't need any more liability. my hounds are enough trouble by themselves. Must be able to walk very long distances in deep snow, uphill and down, not interested in carrying someone to a treed cat. if you can pm me pictures of your last marathon, great! triathlon? that would be even better. Must be able to get around in the bush without any help and able to do it safely (winches, chainsaw, gps, snow shoes, rabbits foot or horse shoe)
Must have your own 4x4 rig, quad and snow machine. would prefer someone with hound experience, your own hound even better! if your tied to work, home or mommy, it ain't gonna work as some hunts are extended, I don't like to leave hounds in the bush. no smokers, no females and no players! i don't take many cats as the hounding experience is my main focus but it is something i do very seriously. killing females is out of the question even if that's all there is to hunt. Bow hunter? great! like to shoot wolves? even better! if your GF loves cats your probably not a good candidate. if you ever started a post with, "i'm just curious" sorry, no. if your a tin-pan (google it),nope ain't gonna happen. if my hound ****es on your boot your done as he is a better judge of character than I.....

Default Need a hunting buddie

Hello my fellow hunters my names Nate I'm 23 yrs old and I live in Sherwood Park. I Recently moved from Kelowna, BC and REALLY need to get back into the bushes. Don't know anyone that hunts out here so I have no one to go with. Not to Mention I don't know any land owners so finding a place to hunt seems to be another problem i'm having. I Shoot a Savage 30-06 and its yet to go on a hunt so shes feeling kind of neglected. I've been on 2 successful Big Game Hunts in my life and that was a nice 6x6 Bull Elk along with a little 2x2 Whitetail in Cranbrook, BC in sept of 2009, and a black bear the following Spring in Kelowna, BC. Would love to hunt moose if the opportunity was available and wouldn't mind Picking up bow hunting as well so anyone with any advice on that please leave me a message. Love being in the outdoors PERIOD so if anyone needs a hand doing anything hunting/fishing related, falling some trees or even farm work give me a holler i'd be glad to lend a hand. Looking forward to meeting some of you

Hello my fellow hunter my names Nate noticed u had a post about an open spot for a new guy in your hunting group. I'm 23 years old married with 2 children and live in Sherwood Park, moved out here from kelowna, BC about a year back. Have hunting experience with grouse, deer, bear, elk and would love to learn how to hunt everything else. I have a great appreciation for wildlife in general and i'm very easy to get along with making me a prime candidate. New to Alberta hunting so even if your spots filled maybe u can give me some pointers on some decent locations it would be much appreciated. Hope to hear from ya
