Pet Insurance

Hello all,

Just curious, those of you that have pet insurance for your hunting dogs, what insurance company are you using.

PetPlan and Trupanion seem to get good reviews for Canadian options.

I use trupanion and the rates seem to go up. When the dog was 6 months I was paying $45.00 per month. Now that the dog is 8 I pay $98.00 a month with a $350.00 deductable. I am lucky that I have never had to use it with a small claim that was less than $600.00 and then with the 350 deductable i never got much. Some people will put an amount away every month and have their own plan. But there is always the worry that something will happen and you are given a large bill. it is a hard call.
