Awesome pics. Not sure if the tree fence would have worked but like the thought of it. Great ram

Taxidermy Work
Well I thought I would bump this thread to show the final taxidermy work on my ram. I'm really happy with how it turned out. Brian Dobson at Artistic Taxidermy did the pedestal mount for me. There are only a couple of really good taxidermists in Alberta, and Brian is one of them. I've never even seen average work by him. Always top notch all the way.
The ram was part of Brian's display at the Wild Sheep Foundation Alberta annual banquet. Shout out to the volunteers of that organization for putting on a great weekend of events as always.
And the ram in it its final spot:
And so starts the scouting for the next one Thanks everyone!

Beauty Ram, love the field pics and the final product is awesome. Congrats on the harvest. It's an animal I think I will never get to chase.

Great sheep and mount.
Hard to get a sheep just right and it doesn't take much for them to look just a bit off. Horn angle, neck proportion, eye placement... This mount is absolute perfection to my mind and eye. I've been waiting to see this beauty mounted. You should be proud of the accomplishment of taking such a fine sheep. What a fantastic memento of your experience.

What a DANDY Ram, congrats to you and your bro. You should tell more of your stories. My first Ram was 9 years in the making, 12 trips, too many turned down to be sure of legalities. All so rewarding, it's not about the harvest but the memories in the wonderful country the critters live in. Absolutely incredible!
Great share. Thank you .
